A part of the Generosity Series, the Bichons and Buddies 5K will take place on December 2, 2018 in Los Angeles’ Griffith Park. You don't want to miss this amazing event featuring a live DJ, pre-race warm-up & stretch, a professional announcer, and just an amazing time with friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and other charitable individuals like yourself. Dogs are welcome, just keep them leashed per park rules.
Bichons and Buddies was founded in 2004 by Jeanine Curcione. For over 14 years Bichons and Buddies has been saving homeless dogs from high-kill shelters. Each dog is provided the necessary vet care and the TLC needed to prepare them for placement into a forever home.
We believe that every dog deserves a chance to be loved and live out its life free of abuse and neglect and that ADOPTION should be the ONLY OPTION.
Funds raised through Bichons and Buddies 5K will help ensure that we are able to continue providing critical care for dogs like Wilson and Duke and to be there for the discarded seniors who still have so much life and love to give.
Bichons and Buddies is rescuing more homeless dogs than ever and, thanks to our generous donors, we’ve managed to help the injured and special needs dogs along the way. Our vet bills, kennel fees and supplies are a constant financial challenge, but the reward is worth it.
Here are 3 of the critical medical dogs that your assistance has empowered us to help.
-Wilson had extensive ear surgery to correct a painful condition.
- Ozzie had a torn cruciate ligament.
- Duke had a broken hip.
